Hi guys!
I've applied Pete's notes on the camera work, though I'm having a hard time with it. Not sure how much I should take out and/or put in. Either way, besides it being a bit floaty, I like it a lot more now. Let me know what you guys think!
I'll keep working on the animation and post updates to that in a few hours. I really like the timing I have so far for it, and everyone's notes will surely help me push it even more :) I'm having so much fun with this!

that looks cool.
ReplyDeleteFrm 171-216 is the only weird part to me. You could get rid of that zoom. That would help to make the transition cleaner.
Later when the animation is in spline it would be cool to see some vibration/shake in the camera when one of them fall to the ground.
Also, would be could to see rocks dust and terrain being push by their force! :)
Looking much improved Isai! One good note I've gotten about camera work is that cameras aren't omniscient - you want to avoid the feeling that the camera knows exactly what's going to happen. I find it way too easy to do this in 3D. It's a little tough to tell with the dinos still in stepped, but there are a few moments where it feels like the camera is pre-empting the action - particularly at ~7seconds where the camera zooms ahead of the triceratops. I would try to have the camera following just a step behind the action. I'm pumped to see this one come together, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHey Isai. This is working better for me. The only area that jumped out at me was when the Ticeritops charges forward. It looks like the camera anticipates that run right now. Try to have the camera move with the Tric, or delay it a few frames so it's just cactching up to him. I hope that helps. And keep with it! this scene is awesome and I would love to see it in spline mode with some polish. Oh and good luck on your first day tomorrow. Pete
