Hi guys!
I made a new walk animation with this 6-legged rig from the short film I'm helping out on, The Ottoman. I used Cinema4D for this, and the director said no to sharing the rig, but he's cool with me using it for these assignments :)
I hope you guys like it! I'm going to do 2 more with this same rig: 1 with light armor, and another with heavy armor. I hope to show the Weight from this week's assignment in these animations.

Cool Rig! I would love to see a version where you slow it down by a third and try to amp up the translations especially in y and x rotations in the body controller. He will feel heavier if that overall mass is struggling more above the legs. Slowing down will help as well. Keep me posted!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love the mechanical feel of this. One thing I'm noticing is that the fingers/toes feel a bit soft in the way they drag and plant onto the ground. It feels more organic than the rest of the motion, and it makes the character look lighter. You could try giving them a sharper compression as they plant, and stiffen up the drag as they lift off. Good stuff!
