Great find Rob! What a fun rig. I hope he's not too hard to use. I love how you posted some reference as well to check out and your off to a great start. Just a couple of notes for you.
ReplyDelete1 I don't think his chest needs to translate up and down as much as you have it and try to get a little more of a flow to that motion if you can. I like the timing that you have, but it feels like the chest hits a little bit of a wall when it translates down so try to ease out of that translation if possible.
2 Try to find a little arc with the head as it's pulling the body through space. So translate that head up and down and add a litlte x rotation to that head and you will be good to go.
3 Just be careful on how far those front legs are reaching out to plant on each step .Your getting a little hyper extension and they might be reaching out a little too far. Try using the shoulder con to reach out with the legs and then ease the shoulders back up into the passing pose. I hope that makes sense. I like the motion on the back legs. Cool rig! Thanks Rob.
This is a cool rig! I would like to see its ears randomly flickering. Like when they are trying to make a fly go away.
ReplyDeleteor chewing while walking....
This is feeling much more natural Rob. Nice work. I think the feet could have a little bit more cushion as the plant into the ground. Is there a way to push down the foot to help show the imact? I also think the head could have a little bit more of an arc in it's motion. Try translating the head down as the legs coming forward and up slightly on the passing poses. Nice work. Let's talk more about it tomorrow.
