Hi guys!
Here's a version I just polished up of the eagle flying. I experimented with a bit of forward movement, and it added quite a bit to the feeling, so I kept it.

Isai,
ReplyDeleteThis is looking better. My major note is about the upstrokes - right now the feathers are rotating/dragging in the opposite direction. The eagle wants to minimize the surface area of the wing (and hence the drag) as it brings the wings up, and maximize the surface area of the wing (and create lift) as they come down. They eagle rotates its humerus down (in Rx I think) as it brings the wings up, in order to decrease surface area - the feathers will also drag a bit downward behind this. I would try inverting your Rx curves. Also, I think the forward movement does add an interesting feeling to it, but it could be subtler. Good stuff!

On second thought I think your humerus rotation is correct, it's just too much Rx too fast. Maybe Pete knows?
